BACK TO SCHOOL POOL PARTY will be held at the beginning of the school year! This is FREE to all Lawler Students and families. Last year was our first, and we expect a bigger turnout this year. Where we need help: registar and concessions. If you are able to help, please let us know.
BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT: We will need volunteers to help organize, compile, and sort information packets to be given to all Lawler students. The packets include information about joining the PTO and various upcoming events for Lawler students.
FALL FESTIVAL: This is our largest "Fundraiser" each year; therefore, it will be the largest committee. It is usually held at the end of October which enables the kids to wear their Halloween Costumes. We have games and prizes, dinner, an auction, and the teachers always end the night with a SPECTACULAR show! We are open to ideas that will ADD TO or IMPROVE our Fall Festival. There are many different jobs for this committee, and I am sure you can find one that will fit your time and talents!
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCE NIGHTS: This year we have started a new tradition. We honor and appreciate our teachers and staff here at Lawler Elementary. One way we thought of to show that appreciation is by providing "supper" to them on Parent-Teacher Conference Night. We try to have it set up by the end of school so they will have time to eat before the conferences begin. This committee will be responsible for planning a menu, bringing it to the school, serving the staff and cleaning up afterward for each Parent-Teacher Conference.
FAMILY FUN NIGHT: Last February we hosted our first ANNUAL Family Fun Night. We watched a movie, enjoyed popcorn and drinks, and had a great time. This year we may do a MOVIE NIGHT again - or some other creative FAMILY NIGHT. The one thing we know for sure: IT IS FREE TO ALL LAWLER STUDENTS AND FAMILIES! We want it to be a time to just come out with your family and have FUN! This committee will decide and implement at least one Family Fun Night (probably during the winter like this year) for Lawler Students, Staff and Families!
TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK: Teacher Appreciation week is during the month of May! There are many ideas we have to show our appreciation (but we don't want to list them since the "teachers" check out our website, too!)! This committee will be responsible for planning, purchasing, and implementing different activities for Teacher Appreciation Week.
MARCH MADNESS 3-POINT SHOOTOUT: We have had some interest in hosting a 3-Point Shootout and think it is a great idea!! If you know the rules or would be willing to help, please let us know!!
