Welcome to the London, KY MOPS website!

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets monthly to provide a place where mothers of young children can gather to revive and learn how to be the best moms they can be through motivational speakers, crafts, food and fun! MOPS is not a Bible study - just a special time for moms! A time to interact with other moms and get involved in community activities together. Each month a new speaker/presenter will come to the meetings to discuss topics that are helpful to mothers with young children. We also enjoy breakfast and fellowship together. This is a time for sharing problems, concerns and joys with other moms. While the mommies meet, the children are involved in a Christian based program especially designed for ages birth through five years. Our London chapter of MOPS meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at
Corinth Baptist Church
1671 Old Whitley Road
London, KY 40744
606-864-5440.

"Where two or three come together...there I am with them." MATT 18:20.

Together on Planet Mom

Together on Planet Mom is our new theme for the 2009-2010 MOPS year. Our goal is to "equip our moms to learn more about themselves as they go through the adventure of motherhood. They will celebrate and embrace the fun in the experiences, even in the midst of daily mom life that stretches them emotionally and spiritually." (from MOPS.org)

MOPS is about "celebrating motherhood; making connections with other moms; providing support and affirmation and experiencing God's love through relationships & resources."

During the 2009-10 MOPS year, we will explore how to thrive in relationships Together on Planet Mom. When you become a mom, all your relationships change. It’s like you have landed on a different planet—Planet Mom—and the relationships on Planet Mom don’t look like the ones on your previous planet. Your relationship with yourself is different—you are a mom! Your relationship with your husband, girlfriends, extended family, community and God have all changed. Many of these changes are positive, some are not. Even positive change requires adjustments on your part.

The foundation of being Together on Planet Mom is that God is with us and we are created for relationship with him and each other. We are created to “do life” together.

    WHERE are my children?

MOPPETTS is a quality program designed specifically to care for the needs of infants, preschoolers, kindergarteners and home-schooled children. Along with our adult volunteers, South Laurel High School students join us from their classroom to work with the children. They are completing a special program through the school for Child Development. There are both students and adult volunteers, from Corinth, in each classroom. This program is offered for your children during our monthly meetings. There is NO COST FOR MOPPETTS. If you have any questions, please contact Shae Heath.
