Kentucky's newest Medal of Honor recipient, Dakota Meyer, USMC, of Greensburg, has been invited to attend the annual parade in Madisonville. His attendence has not been confirmed. Parade activities will begin at the Court House at 1:00 pm on Nov. 6 and the parade will kick off from North Street at 2:00 pm. More than 4,000 flags will be passed out to the crowd.

Limited seating on the reviewing stand available to WWII veterans with reserved area on the sidewalk on the west side of Main Street for handicap persons.

Queen of Hearts pot 10-28 is $2707.00.

 
Post Rifle Raffle

All proceeds from this raffle will benefit Post 6 programs. Tickets are $1.00 each (no discount for multiple tickets) and the drawing will be Veterans Day, November 11th at 5:00 pm. Tickets are available at the Post bar. Get some every day! Charitable Gaming ORG 0480

The Post 6 lounge will now be open on Sunday. Hours are 1:00 pm until last call at 8:30 pm, although the closing time will be at the discretion of the bartender on duty. ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL SALES AFTER LAST CALL TIME!

ANOTHER NEW HAPPY HOUR TIME - - - EVERY DAY 4:00 - 6:00

But if KY is on live tv, regular happy hour will be cancelled and game happy hour during Wildcat game!

Changes to the House Rules were also approved May 3. The lounge/bar will be open during meetings. Members will have to attend meetings or leave the premises until the meetings are over. This applies to all Post 6 Family Members. Guests may remain in the lounge, but television volume will be turned down and the juke box cannot be played. The area must remain quite during the Legion meeting, bartenders will strictly enforce this rule.

 
QUEEN OF HEARTS RAFFLE

New raffle to benefit the Post. $1.00 per chance, drawings weekly on Thursday at 7:00pm. You do not need to be present to win. Person whose name is drawn will select an envelope, if it is the Queen of Hearts, they get 70% of the pot. If it is not Queen of Hearts, all tickets are thrown away and the pot rolls over until the Queen of Hearts is selected from the board. The rules are available at the bar and posted next to the cabinet which contains the envelopes containing one full deck of cards. Tickets may be purchased by anyone. KCG License ORG 0480.

 More Convention


Conner presents checks

Bill Conner, Kentucky Area A Vice Commander, presents National Commander checks totaling more than $4,900 from Kentucky during the Legacy Fund collections. More than $600,000 was raised this year making total efforts more than $2,000,000 since the fund began in 2006.

The Legion Riders have been responsible for most of this money with a great portion coming as a result of the annual Legacy Run which starts in Indianapolis and ends at the National Convention.
