Fun!
Our club has a secret word! Be sure to check here the first week of each month for that month's secret word. Here is November's word: "Pilgrim". The secret word will be on this site to encourage club members to visit our website. It will be out of context in an unrelated sentence. Read through our entire site, and write down the secret word with the words immediately before and after on a piece of paper 3 inches by 5 inches along with your name. Bring it to the next meeting for a drawing. You could win a prize!
Friendship! Fun! Food! As our year begins we have lots of hoots (outings) planned and in the planning stage. Check the calendar on this site! Also check the Reminders and Alert Sections below.
Our club has been organized for fun and friendship for women age 50 and older. We have been blest with many wonderful women, and we are proud of each of our friendly members.
At the current time, we are sorry, but we have no room for additional members!
Our next regular meeting will be held at The Briarwood at 2134 Petersburg Rd. (Ky. Route 20)in Hebron, Ky. on Wednesday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m.
Be prepared to purchase tickets at this meeting for our March hoot - the Titantic High Tea!!!
Take the I-275 Hebron South exit. Go a few blocks and turn right onto Ky. 20 (Petersburg Road). The restaurant is on the right side of the street.
If you are using I-75, take the Route 18 exit towards Burlington. Drive about 2 miles and turn right at Ky. Route 237 (North Bend Rd). Drive about 3 miles on North Bend and and turn left on Petersburg Rd (Ky. Route 20).

November 2009 Hoot
We will be attending one of the last productions of the Robinson's Family Kentucky Country Jamboree in Owenton, Kentucky on Wednesday, November 11. The meal begins at noon and the show at 2:00 p.m.
The cost was $32 which includes the entertainment and meal and musthave been paid in advance.
Directions: Take I-75 South to Exit #144. Drive 1-1/2 miles west on Hwy 330 to Hwy 607 South( turn left). Go approximately 3-1/2 miles to right (west) onto Hwy 2018 for 4 miles. The address is 4245 Swope Road, Owenton, Ky. Their telephone number is (502)750-2241.
We will meet at K-Mart at 10:00 a.m. Pay your driver $10 due to the distance.
December 2009 Hoot
Our Red Hat Christmas Party will be at the Airport Marriot on Monday, December 7th at 11:00 a.m. and will take the place of our monthly meeting and hoot.
The cost is $24 which includes a delicious buffet, entertainment, games and small gifts. Payment can be made at the September meeting.
As in the past, we will have a $10 gift exchange for those who want to participate.
February 2010 Hoot
On Wednesday, February 10th, we will see a movie at the Cinema DeLux followed by lunch at Fuji Steakhouse on Mall Road in Florence, Ky.
March 2010 Hoot
We will attend a Titanic High Tea and luncheon at the First United Methodist Church in Milford, Ohio at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 20th.
Tickets cost $25. Reservations and ticket sales will be collected at the November and December meeting (Christmas Party).
April 2010 Hoot
Shopping at the new outlet mall off I-75 North in Ohio and a stop at LeLe Boutique in Monroe, Ohio followed by lunch at the Olive Garden on Wednesday, April 21st.
May 2010 Hoot
On Wednesday, May 19th we will be taking a trip to the Cherry House furniture store and antique shops in LaGrange, Kentucky followed by lunch at a restaurant to be determined.
June 2010 Hoot
On Friday, June 18th, we are tentatively planning a Belle of Louisville excursion on the Ohio River.
July 2010 Hoot
Our annual River Downs hoot will be held on Saturday, July 10th.
August 2010 Hoot
On Wednesday, August 18th we will be at the Newport on the Levee for a ride on the amphibious duck with lunch at Joe's Crab Shack.
September 2010 Hoot
This month we will have our annual picnic on Saturday, September 18th. Location to be announced.
October 2010 Hoot
On Wednesday, October 20th, we will travel to Springboro, Ohio to attend LaComedia dinner show and enjoy "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels".
November 2010 Hoot
On Wednesday, November 3rd we will be attending the Omnimax at the Cincinnati Museum. Lunch will be at a restuarant to be determined.
December 2010 Hoot
Our Christmas Party will be at the Airport Marriott on Monday, December 6th.
January Hoot
Due to possible inclement weather, no January hoot has been planned.
Flower Fund
It has been decided that each of us we will donate $2.00 to establish a flower fund to be used in the event of one of our member's death. Sharon W. will be collecting the money in your own birthday month. Kathleen D. will collect this in her absence.
Shirley's Drawing
Shirley's latest creation, her Halloween doll, was won by a very grateful, Bobbie A., Janet G. won the Halloween Gooseberry Patch booklet and Nancy H. won the purple cat! The Halloween tote bag was won by ???.
Thanks Shirley we appreciate your thoughtfulness! You have made many of our members very very very happy!

Filllies' Thoughts
Short and sweet and to the point: We will be friends until we are old and senile; then, we'll be new friends! We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, when our spouse gets his act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation, when we retire, etc. etc. It seems that life would then begin; except, there was always some obstacle in the way. Finally, we learn that these obstacles were life!
I would rather live my life as if there is a God, and die to find out there isn't; than live my life as if there isn't, and die to find out there is.
