Bossier City Membership Information

Preamble: The purpose of the Bossier City H.O.G. chapter shall be to conduct activities and encourage participation in events that promote a positive and safe image of motorcycling. Chapter activities shall be conducted in a manner consistent with a family-oriented and non-political philosophy. The Bossier City H.O.G. chapter holds many functions throughout the year. Our monthly chapter rides are on the second Saturday of every month (weather permitting) and depart from Harley-Davidson of Bossier City, LA. So no matter your riding style, or whether your a new rider or a veteran of many years, a H.O.G. membership offers something for everyone.

Chapter Dues are $20 dollars per member and due January 1st. Annual membership runs from January 1 to December 31. You must have a current national H.O.G. membership to be a member of the Bossier City H.O.G. chapter. Membership entitles you entry to all chapter rides and events.

Chapter Meetings are held on the second Saturday of each month at 10.00 AM. The meetings take place in the H.O.G. room located at Bossier City Harley Davidson, 2225 Autoplex Drive, Bossier City, LA 71111. Chapter meetings are a information sharing and fellowship time for all members and their families.

Website: www.orgsites/la/bchog is the official website where members receive current event updates, calendar updates, Ladies Of Harley information, photo galleries, safety issues, letters & forms, links, suggestion box, and email contact for the current officers.

Community Involvement: The Bossier City H.O.G. chapter has a proud and distinct history supporting charitable work for our local communities. Our chapter provides for people that are less fortunate than ourselves. We are proud to give our time, talents, and financial support to make the Northwest Louisiana and East Texas areas a better place to live and work for all.

Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and experience new things. Volunteering is a "no experience necessary" activity. Volunteering once does not mean volunteering for life. Please don't hesitate to make yourself available because you're afraid it means you'll be expected to do so every time. Your time and efforts make a BIG differance for our community and chapter

Shining Star is a way for any chapter member to recognize another chapter member whose personal efforts help make a difference for our chapter. Submit your nomination at the chapter meetings, or by emailing any officer with your nominee's name, and let's recognize other chapter members for their accomplishments.

H.O.G. Mileage Program: Don't forget to enroll in the H.O.G. Mileage Program and get pins, patches and medallions for the miles you ride. See your H.O.G. Membership Manual for the rules. Enrollment forms are available on the "Forms" page and are also available at Bossier City Harley-Davidson. Take your bike to the dealership because they are required to verify the VIN and the mileage.

Ladies of Harley (LOH) is a program sponsored by the Harley Owners Group to support women motorcycle enthusiasts, both drivers and passengers. It is not a separate organization within H.O.G., but was established to encourage women to become more active in H.O.G. and their local chapters. Remember, you don't have to have your own bike to be a LOH member. We encourage women to participate in chapter events as well as functions specifically for the ladies.

Newsletter: The bi-monthly newletter is published for January-Febuary, March-April, May-June, July-August, September-October, and November-December. The newsletters are meant to entertain and inform. Newsletters are published using a PDF format attachment.

Facebook: Did you know that many of your Bossier City H.O.G. chapter members are using Facebook?. Members can add their comments, post pictures, post questions, share ideas and stay up to date on chapter events. Facebook also has the ability to update your Smart Phones, so staying in contact with each other is easier than ever. Facebook is another source of communication for our members, and the more we communicate, the more we know, and the more we know, the more we RIDE. Join the "Bossier H.O.G. Members" group and enjoy this added benefit to your membership.
