Pack 85 T-shirts will be available for purchase at the Pack Meeting at MTE. All sizes from Youth Small to Adult 2XL are available. Prices are: Child's shirt $7.00 and Adult shirt $10.00. Last week Wesley Howell attended the monthly meeting for members of the American Legion Post 16. As usual, he gave a report to the membership of what Pack 85 had done recently and our plans for the next couple weeks. They were aware of the recent dignified flag disposal ceremony that some of our scouts attended and they expressed their gratitude. When Wes requested that the membership of the American Legion make him aware of any used trailers that we could purchase for under $1500.00, questions started being asked on what size, how much, and for what purpose the trailer would be used. He told them all they needed to know and no sooner as that, a motion was made for the American Legion to purchase the trailer. The motion was passed unanimously for the Legion to supply up to $2,000.00 towards the purchase of a trailer. Today, Wes picked up the new trailer. It is the best deal available! We got a $300.00 discount from Jim Oliphant's trailer sales on Hwy 190 because we were a scout organization. The trailer will be owned by the American Legion and be parked at their hall in Covington. Wes will have a trailer lock and door lock on the trailer and keys will be in the possession of the Legion, current Cub Master and current Committee Chair. He will give the pack more of the rules pertaining to the trailer use later. Wes is shopping for decals and lettering for the trailer. The cheapest quote so far is over $500.00! When you see someone with the Legion, please say thanks. The have done so much for us in the past and this is another example of how much they support us.
