Using the grant award from Community Grants Foundation of Western Ma. and the Buxton Foundation, we were able to have the heating and air conditioning system upgraded. Kudos to all who helped in this endeavor.

About Us Location: ALANO CLUB OF SPRINGFIELD 36 King Street • Agawam, MA 01001

The Alano Club was originally chartered in 1947 in Springfield Mass. The trustees never changed the name on the charter when they moved the club to Agawam. The present day trustees wish to keep the original charter date, so, keeping it simple, we use the original charter name in all communications and publications.

The Alano Club of Springfield is also a visible provider of education, fellowship and spiritual support for individuals and families in recovery.

Beyond our daily meetings, we offer a variety of social activities, special events, and community-building opportunities designed to promote and support a new, healthier way of living based on the time tested 12-step recovery model.

The Alano Club of Springfield was originally chartered in 1947 to support members of Alcoholics Anonymous and their families. Today, the Club’s reach and scope has greatly expanded to serve a far wider spectrum of people and recovery programs, including: Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Narcotics Anonymous.

Within the framework of these programs, we also host meetings tailored to specific populations, such as women-only, men-only, youth and sexual diversity meetings.

The Alano Club of Springfield is a Massachusetts non-profit corporation. Our primary purpose is to operate a vital support center where 12-step recovery programs can hold meetings, host social events and provide community-building opportunities for alcoholics and addicts.

We are driven by the belief that everyone deserves a chance at a life free from the imprisonment of active alcoholism and addiction.

Membership

We would like to ask each an every one of you to consider supporting our Alano Club. Our small group of Trustees struggle to keep the doors open, lights bright and coffee brewing each and every day. Membership is an affordable $4.00 per month, pay for a quarter year, half year, or full year. We have many fundraisers in the planning stages. So help us keep the popular “Open Mic” free to all, and support the AA community.

 Rent the Hall for Meetings

Hall is available Sunday afternoon and evening for you to rent for $60.00 per month. Club supplies coffee maker and cups.

What events would you like to see?

Email us and give me some ideas as to which kind of events you would care to see the club host.
