The Family Support Committee's role is to work with the chosen family as the building of the house ensues and to prepare them for home ownership. They also are the liaisons between the public and the board and the family.
The Family Support Committee is charged with having workshops on the history of Habitat for Humanity Nantucket, the expectations around taking care of a house, financial planning, budget planning and many other things. The Family Support Committee also follows the family for the first year or two after they move into their new home to help out wherever needed.
