"AS IF JESUS WONT COME!"

Lawlessness, the key ingredient in the counterfeit of these fraudulent gospel, is a natural expression of what we call human nature. We live in the world that encourages and rewards our active life style. We are doers and fixers, arrangers and controllers.

We seek to bolster our sense of self – esteem by the things we do. Most young people of this generation are not making any effort to live a pure and blameless life and be at peace with God.

Paul wrote that “the sinful mind is hostile to God. it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so, those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God” (Romans 8:7-8NIV) . Our natural indination isn’t to obey God, but to resist him and his way of life. As a result, alternatives to the true message of Christ have been derived to accommodate the natural unwillingness of live by God’s commandments.

The Gospel according to II Peter chapter 3:14 entreat us to live Godly and blameless life awaiting the second coming of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. We are also told that in the last days there will be scoffers who will laugh at the truth and do every evil thing they desire. This will be their argument.

“Jesus promised to come back did He ? Why, as far back as anyone can remember everything has remained exactly the same since the world was created”.

It happened in the days of Noah, God said, “Look! An about to cover the earth with a flood that will destroy every living thing. Everything on earth will die!” and it did (Genesis 7: 17, emphasis added throughout)

What are the choices you make when you hear or read God’s truth. You can respond to God and ask of His help to implement what you learn. On the other hand, you can decide to turn your back on the understanding of the truth you received.

Although God clearly encourages human beings to choose life. (Deutoronomy 30:10) “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curse.

I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, that you and your descendants might live.

“Choose to live the Lord your God and to obey him and commit yourself to him, for He is your life. Then you will live long in the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Genesis 30:20 emphasis added throughout) you and I have a choice to make.

But, as we shall soon see the consequences of our choices are enormous. We are reminded here of the claim of Jesus Christ.

I am the way, the truth and the life. No one come to the father except through me.” (John 14:16) The way to life is choosing God and his gracious forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said He will come back for us after preparing a place in heaven and that each and every single individual should live Godly and blameless life awaiting his second coming. But then, as we can all see, it is difficult for must young people to wait on God, particularly his second coming.

Most young people may ask, why doesn’t God return for us now ? Why doe she allow further suffering and frustration ?

The answer is simply yet profoundly full of love: God is patient! He wants all to come to Him and discover the only true way of salvation and life.

As we wait, we can trust that it is always for a good purpose. Our decision is important not only for us but for our children. Let us choose life and pass the gift of abundant life to our children as well.

The world was destroyed by flood and will be destroyed for the second time by fire. You have a choice to make, to be in heaven free from pain, sickness, poverty or hell with eternal fortune.

Think about it.

Jesus will soon come so lets live our lives as if Jesus will come !
