Welcome to First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ at 312 Bedford Street Cumberland Maryland.
Home of the "Town Clock," & a beautiful Moller Organ which is possibly the oldest working pipe organ in Maryland.
We are a congregation with long standing history in a church with a long history as well. Read the story of the "Town Clock" and "Moller Pipe Organ" opus 36, as well as the beginning of this congregation in Cumberland. Disciples history has a journey that lives on in today's world.

Prepare the Way

Everyone is extended an invitation to share their faith. Following morning Worship for those interested,and immediately following "around the table" fellowship that takes place every Sunday Morning, there is openness to meet for class on "Discipling." Participants will journey together in the development or re-connect with their faith. All ages are invited. Prospective, new and life-long Christians are welcome.

Join us during this time of sharing and get acquainted as we learn and grow in the love of God through his Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus' command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. Acts 15:12-14

Each Wednesday Afternoon at 2:00 PM to gather & study God's Word for approximately one hour. Come as we learn together, hearing and listening for insights as we following the seasons lectionary

We gather for Worship each Sunday at 9:35 a.m., Parking off Polk Street behind the church.

For the "Cold Weather" months: Morning Worship begins at 10:00 AM

Come join together around the Lord's Table as we sing praises to Everyone's "Awesome God!

And, later together for informal fellowship in the kitchen after Scripture Study from 11:00 to 11:30 AM following the service.
