OUR MISSION

Build partnerships between home and school by encouraging all parents and guardians to become involved in the Friendship Valley Elementary School community. The PTO's goal is to promote an environment and culture that nurtures and supports exceptional learning.

The PTO assists teachers in the classroom setting and raises funds for supplemental educational materials and experiences. The team approach, we believe, offers the best possible learning environment for our children.
To that end, the PTO facilitates communication between and among FVE administrators, teachers, and parents.

• Melissa Moshang has returned as PTO president and has 3 children.
• Sandy Keeley is the PTO shadow president and has 2 children.
• Jen Goldstein is co-vice president and has 2 children.
• Susan Neubertis also co-vice president and has 4 children.
• Sue DiPietrois the treasurer and has 2 children.
• Lorrie Ruthis secretary and has 3 children.
• Julie McCartanis volunteer coordinator and has 2 children.

• Back to School Picnic

Come join us KICK OFF the school year at our Back to School Picnic!
PTO supplies hot dogs, water and music. Bring a blanket and lawn chair for your family along with drinks.
Families bring: A-F Salads / Sides G-J Fruits/Veggies K-R Desserts S-Z Chips/Dips
Food, music, and FVE families make this an annual tradition!
• Autumn Harvest
October 16th, 5:00 – 8:00
Celebrate the season at Autumn Harvest.
Games, face painting, crazy hair, autumn craft, writing contest, apple bobbing and the ever popular hayride
have all made this one a memorable event in past years.
• Spaghetti Night
November 15th, 5:30 – 8:00
New this year! Bring the whole family to experience a taste of Italian at Friendship Valley’s spaghetti dinner.
FVE fifth grade student volunteers will help bring “Little Italy” to life.
• Craft Night
December 4th
Do your kids love crafts? Then this event is for them. We set up a variety of different crafts.
Students get to make their favorites. Perfect just for fun or for holiday gifts.
• Variety Show
February 20th
A showcase of FVE students sharing a variety of fun and exciting acts.
Students in all grades are invited to share their special talents.
• Bingo!
Saturday, March 7th
We will be holding another Bingo this year! Come eat dinner with us and stay to play.
Our bingo will feature Vera Bradley handbags and we will have fabulous door prizes!!
• Dolphin Dash
Spring 2009
FVE students collect pledges and then participate in a fun run around Friendship Valley School.
At the end there is a celebration, complete with ice pops.
• Outdoor Game Night
May 15th
We coordinate a collection of games for the whole FVE family!
Come and enjoy as we bounce, hula, and play ( and lots of other activities) together.
