“When I first decided to work with a dog instead of a cane, I wasn’t sure this was going to work. Now, I wonder how I ever got around with the cane. When the cane feels a car, it is all over with. The dog stops and blocks your body to let you know it's there. That is the difference between life and death.
Blindness is something you never think will happen to you. You think ‘I’m invincible.’ Then, it happens suddenly. You can choose to do nothing and stop living or you can choose to do something about it. Hopefully, you choose to take advantage of the school, the people and the dogs so you will continue to live a quality life."
