Prayer Requests

The pastor provides pastoral care to individuals and families through an on-going counseling and visitation ministry. If there is a death in your family, a person with an illness/hospitalization, or an issue you need to discuss with Reverend Bruce, please contact him so that he can provide pastoral care to you and your family. Prayer is a vital and important part of Christian life. If anyone would like to have prayer requests listed here on this website, you should contact the church office, Karen Kingsbury (our Prayer Chain coordinator) or Rev. Jones directly. If you do so, we'll be very happy to list your prayer request here on this page.

Baltimore-Washington Conference Prayer Center

Did you know that the Prayer Center of the Baltimore-Washington Conference, a ministry of the United Methodist Men, provides a 24-hour a day hotline to anyone in need of prayer? Sixteen volunteers staff the center, which receives approximately 35 calls a day and more than 7,000 calls a year. This ministry, which attracts people from as far away as Canada, is located in the Conference Center in Columbia.

Call-in hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A voice mail box accepts prayer requests after 5 p.m. and on Saturdays and Sundays. The Prayer Line can be reached by calling (800) 936-6893. Prayer requests can also be sent via e-mail to the prayer line.
