We would like to acknowledge the following organizations and persons for their assistance to The Family Bridge.
WPGC 95.5 and Donnie's Morning Wish
Thanks to WPGC 95.5, Donnie Simpson, DJ, Chris Paul, Fred Smith, and Curtis for providing a wonderful 2007 Christmas for Pierre and his family. They answered his sister, Kiara Reid, letter detailing the problems of the family. WPGC has always been a community based radio station and we have enjoyed hours of listening over the past thirty years not to mention the many community events we have attended.
Children's Hospital, Washington, DC
Drs. Keating, Packer and MacDonald, Debra Lafond (Nurse Practitioner) and the staff of Children's Hospital for the amazing care and loving concern given to Pierre Reid. Their efforts are the reason that Pierre is recovering and able to return to school.
Madison and Kathi McCrady & Ashley and Angela Sain (aka Mad-Ley)
To the wonderful McCrady and Sain families, many thanks for "adopting" Pierre's family for Christmas. You made it possible for us to see his eyes light up and a smile which has continued.
CANCERCARE
CANCERCARE for providing emotional support and resources to enable childhood brain tumor victims and their families negotiate the maze of treatment and assistance options.
CHILDHOOD BRAIN TUMOR FOUNDATION
For providing emotional support and a wonderful camp that is enjoyable for children suffering from brain tumors.
MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION
For granting Pierre's wish of a cruise to the Bahama's during the summer of 2006. Pierre and his family will never forget the experience of sailing the ocean and enjoying the sun and sand.
THE JOHN QUADRINO FOUNDATION
Thank you for your generosity in providing assistance with holiday expenses for the family of Pierre Reid (Carol Bryant). It was much appreciated.

For working with Pierre as he went through radiation and chemotherapy and understanding the challenges he faces as he returns to a regular school environment. In addition, many thanks for their participation in Pierre's recycling fundraiser. Ms. Czehanski (fundraiser coordinator), Ms. Meadows (guidance counselor), and Ms. Williams (school nurse), and Mr. Kloss and Ms. Trader (teachers) are to be particularly commended for going the extra mile to coordinate adjustments needed for Pierre's success.
THE WASHINGTON POST, FEBRUARY 15, 2007>
Many thanks to Avis Thomas-Lester and the Washington Post newspaper for the article she wrote about Pierre and his fundraiser. The response has been tremendous and prayerfully Pierre will continue to progress.
