Archbishop O’Brien has appointed Father John (Jack) Ward as the next pastor of Prince of Peace church, effective January 1, 2010. Father Ward has been pastor at Our Lady of Hope parish in Dundalk for the past ten years.

A CELTIC CHRISTMAS CONCERT

featuring Amhra'nai Na Gaeilge, the Irishman's Chorale, will be held on Sunday, November 29, at 3 p.m. at Holy Spirit Church, 540 Joppa Farm Rd., Joppa, MD.  Cost: $10, Children are free.

All proceeds will go to benefit the homeless of Harford County under the auspices of FCCAU.

BINGO KITCHEN HELP IS URGENTLY NEEDED!!!

Kitchen help is needed at Bingo every 3rd Wednesday. You would either be cooking or working the cash register. Also, help is needed on the floor selling package plans or to work the payout table when people win Bingo. We need help, too, on the floor selling extra cards and calling back winning Bingos. Lourdes Pilgrimage

Holy Spirit Parish invites Prince of Peace parishioners and their families and friends to join them on a Pilgrimage to Lourdes, France & Fatima, Portugal May 11 through May 18, 2010. The price is approximately $1,900 dollars per person, all inclusive except transportation to the airport and taxes. Payment plan is available. SLAVA ISUSU CHRISTU

Homemade Pirohi, Holupki (stuffed cabbage), Haluski (noodles and etc.) and Nalesnik (Potato Pancakes) will be served at the Slavic Festival at the Patronage of the Mother of God Byzantine Catholic Church in Arbutus from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 21. The Church is located on Linden Ave. and Highview Road near Leeds Ave. in Arbutus.


Loaves and Fishes Weekend: November 14 & 15

Contribute to our monthly food collection for the needy in our community. Please remember to bring some non-perishable items for our food barrel when you come to Mass. We are in need of the following: Spaghetti, Tuna or canned Chicken, Peanut Butter & Jelly, canned Soups, Beef Stew, Instant Potatoes and Rice side dishes. Thank you.
