Advent

Again this year, we invite families to prepare for Advent by gathering clean, gently used men’s clothing, magazines and religious articles for the Apostolate of the Sea. You may bring them to Mass on the First Sunday of Advent, November 28/29. (Thanksgiving weekend). The empty spaces in your home can be a reminder to make empty space in your heart to welcome Jesus. Our Youth will organize and pack your gifts.

Peace Day

At parents’ request, Peace Day, the retreat for First Penance for children and parents, has been changed to Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m.

Need Substitute Catechists

Because of H1N1, we need some substitute catechists ready to help. If you have been a catechist or aide in the past, have your STAND card, and are willing to help, please call Sister Susanne at 410-679-5912. Call if you are willing to take STAND training and help.

Parent Night

On November 23rd, parents of students in Level 5 are invited to come and observe their children in class.

Advent Reconciliation Service

Tuesday, December 15, at 7:00 pm, there will be an Advent Penance Service and an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation to prepare for Christmas. Parents, please bring children from Level 2 through HSYM to receive the Sacrament of Penance.

Thanksgiving Holiday

Monday, November 30, is a holiday for Faith Formation. Catechists will meet from 6:15 to 7:30 pm. Parents, do pages on Mary, Advent and Christmas in the textbook with your children.
