WELCOME TO MID-COAST DETACHMENT #637
We are located in ROCKLAND, MAINE home of the Maine Lobster Festival and the Worlds Greatest Lobster Cooker.Rockland is also home to the North Atlantic Blues Festival and the Maine Boats,Home and Harbor show. Rockland has many outstanding restaurants,Galleries and Museums,and has been designated a COAST GUARD CITY.There is something for everybody. Mid-Coast Detachment was Chartered on January 26, 1987
Mid-Coast at the present time has 44 members.Meetings are held once a month on the second Tuesday at 1900. Meetings are held at COAST GUARD STATION ROCKLAND,ME. There are no meetings in July and August.
We are available for Parades and Military Funeral Honors. The Detachment has M1 rifles for firing details & Honor details and also have a bugle for playing Taps.
The Detachment is very involved with TOYS FOR TOTS each year. The SOS Breakfast is in June each year and is a good time for Marines and guest to get together.We also do fund raisers during the year ,and in November the Marine Corps birthday as close to 10 November as possible.
We are always looking for new members ,drop in to one of our meeting or events and check us out. FMF Navy Corpsmen are always welcome.
