Trailmaster Spencer Seekins reports the following:

June 2, 2011 -

ALL TRAILS ARE OPEN!! Check out the loop around Great Moose Pond - what an awesome ride.

We apologize if some signage has been an issue - we have had vandalism and signs have been removed/stolen. The sheriff's department has been notified and is keeping an eye on certain individuals in the area. If you notice any signs missing or have a problem, please let us know ASAP - buffy.higgins@gmail.com

PARK - N - RIDES

Pittsfield, ME:
If traveling north on the Interstate 95. Take a right off exit 150 in Pittsfield, turn right after the Mobil Station on to Industrial Park Road. Go to the end of road and turn left onto Merrimac Road which changes to Stinson Road look for the Parking area on left. Parking here is about 2 miles from Interstate. If traveling south on the interstate 95. Take right off Exit 150 then left back under the Interstate. Take right after the Mobil Station and use the same directions as above.

Hartland, ME:
This Park and Ride is on Rt. 23 across from the Hartland Fire Dept. From Rt. 151 going north take a left at light in Hartland bare left onto Rt. 23, parking area will be on left. If traveling Rt. 23 north from Canaan, parking area will be on the right across from the Fire Dept.

Both Park and Ride areas are well signed with maps available at these sites. A thank you to Irving Tanning for making the Hartland Park and Ride available and Maine Central Institute for the Pittsfield Park and Ride. Please remember to keep these areas and trails neat and clean.
