POSITIONS BR
Figure Skating Club/BR Skating Academy The following is a listing
of BRFSC volunteer positions with a brief description of the duties for
each. The BRFSC is a volunteer run club,
it depends on its members for the smooth running of all Club activities. BRFSC Executive Board: These positions are §
President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary §
Elected by the BRFSC/BRSA membership §
Two-year terms President a
Call and preside over all BRFSC Board meetings a
Run meetings in accordance with Robert’s Rules
of Order a
Create meeting agendas a
Collect all ice payments from the membership a
Record and deposit payments a
Turn deposit slips and record of all cash/checks
received to Treasurer a
Check PO Box and Lock Box for all correspondence a
Attend all BRFSC Board meetings Vice President a
Organize early and late registrations a
Organize Sell and Swap a
Ice scheduling a
Receive ice bills from the arena a
Check and submit ice bills to the BRFSC Treasurer
for payment a
Attend all BRFSC Board meetings Treasurer a
Write all checks for the BRFSC and/or BRSA a
Responsible for the collection of outstanding money a
Responsible for up-to-date reconciliation of check
book to the bank statements a
Attend all BRFSC Board meetings Secretary a
Take minutes at all meetings a
Keep up-to-date membership list a
Create all address labels for mailings a
Create and distribute BRFSC newsletters in the

Attend monthly BRFSC Board meetings BRFSC Testing Coordinator a
Organize all ISI test sessions for the BRFSC o
Create schedule o
Create judging appointments o
Make sure the judges have pens and clipboards o
Make sure there is at least one ISI Coaches and
Skater’s Handbook available during all test sessions a
Contact coaches with testing registration deadlines o
Registration deadline should be 2.5 weeks BEFORE the
test date a
Keep copies of testing registration papers
up-to-date and in folder located in the music box drawer a
Keep copies of the judges papers up-to-date and in
folder located in the music box drawer a
Register all ISI tests w/ the ISI in a timely manor a
Keep a record of all tests passed by BRFSC skaters a
Order all ISI badges as needed a
Hand out all ISI badges once a test is passed a
Keep a record of all coaches who judge ISI tests and
turns in a payment record to the BRFSC Treasurer a
Attend monthly BRFSC Board meetings Parade Coordinator a
Organize at least two (2) parades for the BRFSC/BRSA o

Volunteer surcharge is waived for the season(s) that you fill either a
Board position or a Board Appointed position. Other Volunteer Positions These positions §
Are scheduled by the skating family on a first come,
first filled basis §
AFTER 10 skating hours of volunteer time have been
completed & confirmed by the BRFSC Volunteer Coordinator, the BRFSC $100.00
Volunteer Surcharge will be deducted from skating bills or refunded to you Music Monitor a
Play music during skating hours that need music

Open music box if volunteering for the first skating

Remain present at rink side for the duration of the
skating hour signed up for a
Take care of injured skaters o
Get ice, bandages, etc. o
Write out incident report if needed o
Contact parent or guardian if needed o
Call for medical help if needed a
Pick up Ice Monitor folder if volunteering for the
first skating hour of the evening o
Folder located in the music box drawer a
Put away Ice Monitor folder if volunteering for the
last skating hour of the evening o
