Celestial Cooking


Salad in the Pink

1 (20oz) can crushed pineapple in syrup

1 (6oz) pkg strawberry Jello

1 cup water

1 (16oz) can whole berry crangerry sauce

3 tsp fresh lemon juice

1 tsp fresh grated lemon zest

1/4 tsp nutmeg

2 cups sour cream

1/2 cup chopped pecans

Drain Pineapple well.

Reserve pineapple syrup.

Add syrup to gelatin in a 2 qt saucepan.

Stir in water.

Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat.

Stir in cranberry sauce until well blended.

Add lemon juice, lemon zest, and nutmeg.

Chill until it thickens to egg white consistency.

Blend sour cream into mixture.

Fold in pineapple and pecans.

Pour into a 9x12 pan or a 2 quart mold.

Chill until firm.

Basic Uncooked Play Dough:

Materials Needed:

4 cups flour

1 cup salt

1-1/2 to 1-3/4 cup water

food coloring or tempera paint or unsweetened Kool aid to color. Directions:

Mix all ingredients in bowl

Knead

Can be baked

Bubbles

What you will need

1/2 cup dish soap

1-1/2 cup water

2 tsp sugar

Directions: Mix all ingredients together, stir slowly. Store in sealed container.
