Family Fun Ideas

Start having a Family Game night. Can be board games, video games (multi-player), or just fun made up games. This will be something the kids will look forward to all week.

Family Devotions. Pick a topic from the Bible read it together as a family and then you can have question and answer time, younger kids could draw a picture of what they learned.

Get some fresh air together. Bike rides, walking, playing any type of sport together in the back yard.

Backyard Camping or Camping at a Campground. I always enjoyed backyard camping almost as much as going to a campground. www.michigan.org is a great resource for fun things to do in Michigan.

Have a baking lesson with the kids once a week or month. Ask them what they would like to learn to make and teach them to make it. It may get messy but it will create great memories they will not forget.

Keep in touch. Help your kids keep in touch with family or friends that may live far away or just help them write a note or draw a picture for someone they are thinking about or care about. Getting a hand written note or drawn picture unexpectedly in the mail is such a sweet blessing to the receiver.
