Lapeer County Concert Choir
Scholarship Program
2003 Scholarship Winner - Katherine Lauwers.
We have resumed our scholarship program after many years and have awarded a $500 scholarship to Katherine Lauwers.
The award was presented at our Spring Concert by our Director, Louis Canter and our President, Judy Judd.
Katherine has been successful in both instrumental and vocal music throughout her time at the Almont School District. Click here for her complete resume.
A $500 scholarship is awarded each year to a worthy senior who will be pursuing a degree in vocal music at a college or university. The application must be in by March 31. Applications may be received from your choir director or by contacting the Lapeer County Concert Choir.
A 3 point g.p.a. is required and they should be a member of either a school or church choir. A letter of recommendation from your choir director should accompany the application. An audition with a classical selection based on the Michigan's Solos and Ensemble Contest requirements will be scheduled once your application is received and processed. Audition is usually in March or April with the award being presented in May.
