Pr. Christien M. Hodet is the new pastor for the Gladwin, Estey and Edenville Seventh-day Adventist Churches.
Born in Mississippi, He grew up travelling the world in a military family. He graduated from Andrews University Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, Michigan with a Master of Divinity degree in August 2008. While in the seminary, he was pastor for the Glenwood SDA Church in Dowagiac, Michigan. Prior to attending the seminary, he served as a Bible instructor for various churches in Michigan and traveled throughout the country with a youth evangelism team holding Bible Prophecy seminars. His passion for ministry is to see the lay members trained and equipped for service. He longs for the Gospel to be preached to the world in order for The Lord to return.
Pastor Hodet enjoys reading, attending social events, meeting new people and participating in a variety of outdoor sports including camping, hiking, skateboarding and snowboarding. He is married to JoAn and is blessed with two sons, Asher (3Ĺ) and Jadon (6 mos.). JoAn is originally from the Philippines and came to the U.S. after completing a Bachelorís degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Currently, she is a housewife, dedicating time to raise their children with Christian values. Although busy with the children, she is also still a full-time ministry partner with her husband. She also enjoys outdoor and social activities, as well as cooking and organizing church events.
The Hodet family is grateful for the opportunity to serve their church communities and look forward to making peoplesí lives better during these difficult times.
