HENRY FORD ACADEMY GFS FUN FUNDS MEIJER COMMUNITY REWARDS TARGET FOR EDUCATION FUND

The PO is always looking for ways to raise funds for the Academy without putting a large burden on the parents. Below are the product redemption and reward programs the HFA PO is currently taking advantage of. These are continuous programs.
If you have a Target or Meijer credit card, just designate the HFA PO as being your school/organization of choice. The PO will receive a percentage of your purchases as a reward.
If you shop at Meijer but don't have a Meijer credit card...no problem. Just fill out an application for a Meijer 1 Card. This is different from the credit card as it just tracks your purchases each month. You will again need to designate HFA PO as your school/organization of choice. You may have up to 3 different organizations designated on your Meijer Card.
If you shop at Gordon Food Service, sign up for GFS Fun Funds card. Once you sign up you will receive monthly coupons for GFS.
Do you shop at Kroger? If you have a Henry Ford Academy Kroger Gift Card, 5% of your purchases will be donated to HFA.
Please participate in as many programs as possible. Please help us out — and ask your friends, neighbors and relatives to help, as well. NOTE: There is another Henry Ford Academy in the Detroit area. Please make sure to use the correct school ID/Code numbers. All ID/Code numbers are listed below in the program descriptions.
KROGER FUNDRAISING GIFT CARDS
The Parent Organization is sponsoring a new fundraising program to support the teachers and students of HFA. By using a HFA linked Kroger Gift Card each time you do your weekly grocery shopping, you can help raise funds. For every $5,000 reloaded by HFA parents as a group, Kroger will send $250 (5%) to the Parent Organization. With everyone’s participation, this could add up to a lot of money for HFA!
Here’s how the program works:
- Purchase a Kroger Gift Card from a Parent Organization Officer for $5. The gift card will have a $5 balance so there is no expense to you. The serial number on your card is linked to the Henry Ford Academy Parent Organization account at Kroger. Only the Kroger Gift Cards sold by the Parent Organization will be linked to the Parent Organization account at Kroger.
If you need a Kroger Gift Card, please contact the Parent Organization. - Remember to take your gift card with you to Kroger. DO NOT THROW YOU CARD OUT AFTER YOU USE IT! Every time you add money to your Kroger Gift Card, (termed reloading or recharging your card) the Parent Organization earns money! You can reload your gift card at the Customer Service Desk (up to $500) or you can ask a cashier to reload your card (up to $100). YOU MUST RELOAD YOUR GIFT CARD BEFORE YOUR PURCHASES ARE RUNG UP. When reloading your HFA gift card you may pay with cash, debit card, check or credit card.
- After your purchases are totaled, you pay using your newly reloaded Kroger Gift Card.
- Retain your card for use the next time you shop. Reload whenever necessary. Can't remember the dollar balance left on your card? No problem. There is an 800 phone number on every gift card to check your gift card balance at any time. Always keep at least $1 on your card.
- Use your Kroger Gift Card every time you shop at Kroger. You can purchase anything, including fuel and prescriptions, in a Kroger store with the exception of services. Services include: money orders, Western Union, lottery tickets, hunting/fishing license, Ticket Master.
MEIJER COMMUNITY REWARDS
Meijer Community Rewards allows the PO to raise funds to meet our goals very quickly and easily. Here's how you can participate:
- Join Meijer Community Rewards. It's free and can be done online. Just click on the Meijer Community Rewards logo above or the link in the navigation bar to your left to sign up for the Meijer 1 Card. The Meijer 1 Card is NOT a credit or debit card. Our organization 6 digit code is 133377.
- If you currently have a Meijer Credit Card, please consider designating HFA-PO as your rewards recipient. You may do this online by visiting www.meijer.com/rewards or by calling Meijer Community Rewards Customer Service at 1-800-962-7011.
- Simply shop at Meijer using your Meijer Credit Card or swipe your Meijer 1 Card and pay using cash or a PIN-based debit card. Signing for a transaction will not qualify as a debit card payment, therefore not earning rewards. Other forms of payment, such as other types of non-Meijer credit cards, WIC, paycards, store credit, commercial purchases, MasterCard Productivity Business Card, and personal checks are not eligible for Meijer rewards.
- The PO will receive rewards for almost all Meijer purchases – Groceries, toys, home fashions, jewelry, gas, car wash, C-Stop, Meijer.com purchases – over 150,000 products. Exclusions include: commercial purchases, MasterCard Productivity Business Card, group buying, lottery purchases, postage, insurer paid prescriptions, layaway and sales tax. Some in-store businesses (shoe repair, salon, third party sales, etc.) may not participate.
This program can make a wonderful difference in enabling the PO to serve Henry Ford Academy! Best of all, the program automatically earns money whenever you shop, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Do you have a Target Red Card? If so, please consider designating Henry Ford Academy (SCHOOL ID #1337) as your Target Take Charge of Education Fund school and Target will make a donation to HFA.
Here are the specifics:
- Target will donate 1% of your Target Visa or Target Guest Card purchases made at any Target store including target.com. *
- Target will donate 1/2% of your Target Visa purchases made outside of Target wherever Visa Credit Cards are accepted. **

GORDON FOOD SERVICE FUN FUNDS
Gordon Food Service Fun Funds is an ongoing supplemental fundraising program designed specifically for schools and churches. This program raises money through cash rebates paid directly to the Henry Ford Academy PO based on purchases made by our members at any GFS Marketplace store.
Our rebate is determined on a monthly basis using a sliding scale. The combined monthly purchases of fun funds supported items by our members will determine the percentage that we earn. The Academy will receive a quarterly fun funds rebate check, which will include earned rebate amounts from the previous three months.
MEMBER BENEFITS…
Membership is FREE! GFS Marketplace will mail our members personalized membership cards to use when making purchases at any GFS Marketplace store. Members will also receive monthly fun funds flyers containing exciting opportunities and savings on their monthly food purchases.
WHAT ITEMS QUALIFY FOR THE FUN FUNDS REBATE…
Hundreds of name brand items at everyday low wholesale prices are available to fun funds members. The items that are supported by fun funds will display the fun funds logo on the shelf tag above.
