 The Hope Herd & Partners

The Hope Herd
Horses For Hope has trained volunteers, three certified instructors, and a nurse on its staff. Working together with experienced lesson horses, the Horses For Hope Staff provides a safe, educational, and enjoyable adventure for everyone.
The Hope Herd horses that are selected for these special events are experienced lesson horses. Each horse is evaluated over the course of a year before being considered for the program. Each is chosen for its gentleness, ease of gait and friendliness.
- Sweet Chardonnay
"Charley" is a 16-year-old Palomino Quarter Horse cross mare. She is sweet, and all the kids love her because she looks like Barbie's horse. She carries her riders gently and with a motherly air. Charley's previous jobs included barrels, but her previous owners said she was too slow. That's okay with us!
- Toby's Rusty Boomer
"Boomer" is the newest addition to the Horses For Hope herd. He is a 10-year-old red roan gelding that came to us from Montana. He has a dark stripe from his forelock, down his back and through his tail. He also has red stripes on his withers and lower legs! Boomer is a gentle boy. He loves to follow you around the arena and begs for attention. You will love him as soon as you meet him!
