Luke's House TRANSITIONAL HOMELESSNESS RECOVERY PROGRAM
In November 2000, our transitional housing program for single men became the first transitional shelter for men in the Lansing area.
WHAT IS A TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PROGRAM?
Transitional housing provides a safe and nurturing communal living environment where participants will receive supportive services assisting them in achieving economic stability and independence.
WHAT TRANSITIONAL HOUSING IS NOT:
RENTAL HOUSING - By enrolling in the program, participants do not enter into a landlord-tenant relationship with Loaves and Fishes.
ELIGIBILITY:
Participants must be:
- A single man
- Working or in school
- Sober for at least 30 days
- Willing to make a life change
WHAT DOES TRANSITIONAL HOUSING HAVE TO OFFER?
- A Private, Safe Communal Living Environment
- Free Cable, Phone, and Laundry on site
- Free Personal Needs once per month
- Case Management Services
- Monthly Individual Progress Meetings
- Weekly House Meetings

HOW DO I APPLY?
Step 1: Fill out an Application and complete a Criminal History Background Check Form. Applications and background check forms are also available at Loaves and Fishes. Please call before coming.
Step 2: Have an agency staff member (from an agency of your choice) complete a Letter of Reference Form. Reference letters are also available at Loaves and Fishes. Please call before coming.
Once Loaves and Fishes receives your completed application, criminal background check form, and letter of reference, your application will be processed. If you are found eligible for the program, you will get a letter from Loaves and Fishes about an interview.
Step 3: Interview
Step 4: Complete a drug test
