We have planned fantastic tours of our city’s landmarks, museums, churches, casinos and an overview of the city. The Royal Transportation Company’s President, Don Fitzsimmons has developed a shuttle system that will have his spotless busses leaving the Detroit Marriott every 15 minutes until the last bus returns at 4:30p.m. All you have to do is look at the bus schedule, decide what you would like to see and when the bus will depart so you can be shuttled to that destination. This system will allow you to visit a single place at your leisure or take the next shuttle to see a different destination. We have the top popular vendors from Michigan and all over the U.S. bringing
unique red and purple items. Designer hats, clothes, jewelry and gift items.
OPTIONALS - Friday we are also offer an optional Detroit River lunch Cruise (cost is $34) between 11:30 and 2:30.
Friday night we are planning a “Food Crawl” starting at 4:30, running every 30 minutes to 11 excellent restaurants. You will be able to taste the specialties of the “jewels” of our city’s restaurants without waiting in line. The cost is only $25.
8:00 – 11:00 Friday night--Motown Music with a DJ who said he has an open mike ready for anyone who wants to sing along! There also will be a Motown Revue with Martha Reeves telling about Motown’s history and several groups who will perform just like Gladys Knight and the Pips and the well known Motown groups did in the 60’s. We have our own Queen Council member who will teach you how to do the Hitsville Hustle and prepare you for the “longest Red Hat Hustle Line” along the Riverwalk on Saturday. A free ice cream social will top off the evening.
