Tastes of the City Friday night, from 4:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., we are offering you an opportunity to go to what can only be described as “Jewels” of our city’s restaurants. We have eleven restaurants that are both diverse in types of food served and reasonably priced. Each restaurant has a unique ambiance, have received rave reviews by both food critics and customers and many are family owned.

You will be taking shuttle busses to the restaurants, directed into an area reserved for paid participants, welcomed by a Red Hat Detroit hostess and for the next twenty to forty minutes enjoy the delicious tastes of one of the restaurants on the list. Then without concerning yourself with crowds or long lines of customers waiting to be served, you get on the shuttle bus and off you go to another “Jewel” on the list. You may be able to go to almost all of the restaurants on the loop or enjoy the average four or five at your leisure before returning to the Renaissance Center in time for the Downtown Motown Party and ice cream social that you will never forget.

The Tastes of the City is being offered to you for the low cost of $25. It includes the shuttle busses, food, tax and gratuity. We purposely did not plan for a Friday night meal so that each attendee can decide what would best fit their budget, while allowing them to experience our city. I highly recommend that you go on this tour, but there is also a food court right in the hotel.
