What a beginning of July to have! Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall and marginal severe weather have affected the SW.M.W.S forecast area with some areas along and west of U.S. 131 receiving 2 to 5 inches of rain! That is incredible! Our remainder of our forecast for today is rain and thunderstorms diminishing with time. Our high temperatures forecast is going to be lower than previously expected with highs topping out in the mid 80s east, to the lower to mid 70's west, in part to the heavy rain occurring. It is becoming increasingly humid across the area and that will remain throughout tonight into tomorrow. The day tomorrow will feature excessive heat, and the threat for some severe thunderstorms in the afternoon.
