Meetings:

All of our meetings and all but one of our activities are during the day, when at-home mothers need the support. We meet once a month, as a chapter to discuss business. Meetings can also include speakers and children's activities.

In addition to meetings, we also have outings or other get togethers, such as trips to the museum or zoo, and family and children's parties.

As a non-profit organization we coordinate at least one service project a year to benefit moms and children in the community. In the past we have adopted a family at Christmas, donated Easter Baskets to a local charity, and put together a cookbook to raise money to help pay for a young girls medical treatment.

Activity Groups:

The MOMS Club sponsors Activity Groups for members with commmon interests. These change as interests change, but include activities such as children's playgroups, arts n' crafts, walking, coupon exchange and a monthly MOMS Night Out among others.

Bring Your Children:

We believe being a mother shouldn't isolate you, so you may bring your chidren with you to anything that we do. You don't have to bring your children to attend, but if you do, please remember, you are responsible for your child's safety and behavior.

Babies are always welcome to stay with their mothers, and you may nurse at our meetings. We're all mother's here and many of us have nursed our own children. If your baby becomes fussy, please be considerate of any speakers and move into the children's room until your child has quieted.

The MOMS in MOMS Club stands for Moms Offering Moms Support and it is a club for moms. We are open to mothers of all children no matter what the age. You do not have to have young children to be a member.

Dues:

The dues for the Linden/Fenton chapter are $20.00 a year and pay for our room rentals, supplies and programs. You may attend a business meeting and a park day before you decide to become a member. We understand that being a mother-at-home often means a tight family budget, so if the dues would be a hardship for your family, please talk to one of our officers.

Communication:

Each month a chapter newsletter is sent out to all members. The newsletter includes our monthly calender, a note from the President, a detailed Tresurers report and many great articles. There is also a section for activities in the area, and a classified ads page. All members are encouraged to submit to the newsletter.

Each member will receive a detailed roster of members when they join the MOMS Club of Linden/Fenton. The roster includeds members telephone numbers and e-mail address'.

Each chapter of MOMS Club finds a way that is best for them to easily communicate with it's members. For our chapter that is a Yahoo! Group. Most club e-mails are sent through the Yahoo! group so that every member can easily have access. The Yahoo! Group also conatins filed information important to the chapter, such as links to favorite websites, favorite organizational sites, learning tools, coupon organizer and links to our favorite craft sites.

Welcome New Members!

Come and visit our next meeting! Our chapter is very open to new members. You probably won't be the only new person there! Although some of us have lived here for years and are experienced mothers, many of us are new to town or new to motherhood. We all have one thing in common-the MOMS Club introduced us to other moms who stay home...the ones who soon became our friends.
