![]() We serve the Michigan counties of Ottawa and Kent. For those who are not that familiar with Project Linus, here is our mission statement so you have a good idea of what we are all about! Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization with a two-fold mission: First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers." Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.

Blanket sizes (all are approximate suggestions): Preemie - 24" to 30" square A few blanket-making guidelines to consider: *Blankets can be quilted, knitted, crocheted, patchwork, tied, embroidered or no-sew fringed fleece. As long as it is handmade and washable we can most likely use it for a child in need. *Remove selvage edges from fleece fabric. *Please do not add embellishments such as buttons, tassels or sequins to the blankets. These could be chewed off and cause choking. *Blankets with strong odors of smoke, chemicals or pets cannot be used. *Please check blankets carefully to remove ALL straight pins before donation.
