Q. What types of blankets does Project Linus accept?
A. Project Linus accepts all styles of blankets...you don't have to be an expert! Blankets may be quilted, knitted, crocheted or fleece. They must be new, handmade and washable.
Q. What about sizes?
A. We donate to children -- infants through teen years. The preferred sizes (approx.) are:
Newborn: 30" x 36" Toddler: 36" x 40" or 40" x 40" Older Children: 40" x 60" or 45" x 70"
Q. Do the children keep the blankets?
A. Absolutely. Project Linus blankets are a gift for them to keep and take home.
Q. Does your chapter accept cash donations?
A. Yes, please email Lisa, Chapter Coordinator, for mailing instructions. You can find her email address to the left under the members section. Make check payable to "Project Linus." Your check will be forwarded to our Headquarters and the funds will be used for the benefit of the Tuscola County Chapter.
Q. Are donations tax deductible?
A. Generally, yes. Project Linus is a 501c3 non-profit organization.
Q. Are there certain types of blankets that are needed more than others?
A. Yes, we are always in need of boy blankets and Girl & Boy teen blankets.
