Arlington Place Visit 2006 Our November Event started at the El Paso Club in St. Joseph for a bite to eat and maybe a glass of wine too! After eating, we headed for Arlington Place located in St. Joseph as well. When we arrived, there were several residents seated around a long table...just waiting with bated breath for us to arrive. After chating with them a bit, we played a few games of bingo, drank apple cider, and had cake and ice cream, which Dottie and Elaine made. We then went to the room next door where rocking chairs lined the walls--just like in the movies! Resident M.E. played the piano while the rest of us sang. The residents loved having us there! They thanked us over and over for the wonderful evening. It was going on 9p.m. and they didn't want us to leave. Many asked us when we were coming back...and trust me, they want us back SOON!!! We had such a wonderful time with them, and it was very nice having a small group so we really could get to know them and have some personal time with them. Thanks to our November hostesses (Joan B., Dottie E., and Elaine E.) for putting this wonderful evening together for us. The pictures below show the fun we were definitely having.
