This is no ordinary propaganda. This is propaganda about an extraordinary organization.

Since its conception, a pervasive clutch has reigned over humanity. That clutch is television. Granted television has some positive qualities, however, we feel the disadvantages far outweigh the advantages. Television has atrophied minds1 again and again. Our society’s television defames the existence of humanity.

Television is a brutal breeding ground for powerful elitists, the government and corporations, to annihilate art and to dominate your life 2. Television imprisons the mind, decimating self-autonomy.

Our solution to the epidemic of television is, no doubt, a radical idea in today’s world. We advocate a television reduced, or preferably a television free lifestyle. It’s amazing what a television free lifestyle can do for your life and the life of others. Creativity, spontaneity, vigor, joy, liberation commence when the set is turned off. To boycott television is to resist the propaganda of anti art ideology and the dominance of oppressive power mongers of our day. We believe for all the evil and rubbish television is, a boycott is often due remedy. Save yourself; shut your set off.

We at Federation Without Television have a vision, a vision of humanity romantically controlling its own destiny, not some inanimate conception controlling its every move. Federation Without Television was founded by President Andrew Bushard to provide an organization to educate the masses about television’s ills, to provide creative alternatives to television viewing, to promote the virtues of spontaneity and creativity, to create a forum for discussion of issues pertinent to the movement, and to struggle against social, political, economic, and spiritual injustice.

Federation Without Television provides the antidote. We are here to reform society, in a de facto manner, penetrating the heart of the problem.

The fresh air of culture is out there. Life is a valuable accidental gift from nature. We feel it is a fruitless waste be tied down to the television set for the precious time of existence. This federation is founded to sculpt an inventive, cathartic, free society. Do not be mislead! This movement is not petty, it’s vital!
