Head Coach: Epema is currently in his 2nd year as the Head Baseball Coach at Montevideo. Before becoming the Head Coach, Epema served as the Assistant Coach for 1 year and was also a volunteer coach for 2 years.

Coach Epema will be in his 2nd year as the Legion Coach for Montevideo.

Past Coaching History:

Epema served as the Legion Baseball Coach for Kerkhoven during the 1997 and 1998 seasons.

From 1999-2004 Epema was the Legion Baseball Coach for MACCRAY (Maynard, Clara City, Raymond). MACCRAY was a State Tournament participant in 2002, finishing as Consolation Runner-Up. MACCRAY also appeared in the Regional Final Four 4 out of 6 years under Coach Epema.

Coach Epema served as the MACCRAY JV Baseball Coach from 1998-2003.

Epema also was an Assistant Coach for Ridgewater College for 2 years.

Assistant Coach: Ron Reszel

Coach Reszel is in his 2nd year as the Assistant Coach.

Coach Reszel is originally from Maple Grove, MN. He went to Totino-Grace High School and played Football, Wrestling, and Baseball.

After graduation he went to Northern State University on scholarship for wrestling where he earned a degree in Education with majors in History and Social Studies.

Coach Reszel has been with the district as a teacher and coach for the past two years. His fiancé, Marie, also works for the district in the Community Education Department.

8th Grade Coach: Scott Ripley

Coach Ripley has been teaching and coaching at Montevideo since 1997. He has coached football and baseball since 1997 - all at the Jr. High level. He also was the assistant wrestling coach in Montevideo from 1997 - 2000.

Beforing coming to Montevideo, Coach Ripley taught social studies and was the head wrestling coach and assistant varsity football coach in Larimore, ND for 3 years.

Coach Ripley graduated from Pelican Rapids High School, where he played football, wrestling, and baseball.

Coach Ripley attended the University of North Dakota where he graduated with a secondary social studies degree in 1994.

Coach Ripley resides in Montevideo with his wife, Jana, and 3 year old son, Sam.
