Football Code of Conduct

WAIVER, RULES AND GUIDELINES ACKNOWLEDGEMENT:

SAFETY OF PLAY: Football is a FULL CONTACT SPORT. Safety Of Play is a major concern. Football is NOT an in-house sport. Football is a traveling sport and we want all the kids to try it so we do not have tryouts or cuts. The SASB policy for Equal Playing Time shall be modified and understood as “reasonable and safe playing time”. Coaches, at their discretion and opinion, shall not put a player into harms way for the sake of equal playing time. Coaches will make every effort to rotate and substitute players into practice and game situations whereby the player can play football in a position most suited to their size, and or skill level, and to put the player into a position where the player has a reasonable chance to succeed against a like opponent.

COACHES: Coaches shall conduct themselves, and the conduct of their teams in accordance with the published SASB Coaches Rules of Conduct AND within the published guidelines and rules established by the League and level of competition in which they play in.

PLAYERS: All players will be evaluated, assigned, and taught positions by their Coaches as deemed suitable to the players’ size and or skill level. Players will make every effort to learn their positions and assignments. Attendance at practice is mandatory unless excused by their Coach. Missing practices can result in not playing in games.
