Polar Bear Ride FEBRUARY 6 - As riders and drivers gathered at the Walmart parking lot this morning for the Annual Polar Bear ride, Marlene provided an impromptu "Winter Riding Tips" presentation to those in attendance. Watch out for wet spots on the roadway - in cold temps, it's probably icy. Watch out for pedestrians - their heads are down against the cold, and they can step out in front of you. Watch out for drivers - their windows aren't clear or are fogged up and so are yours! Dress and keep warm. If you start to shiver, you aren't in control of your bike. Stop, get some hot chocolate and take time to warm up. Coffee and tea are not recommended. Ride safe and aware!
