"It's not what you ride, but that you ride!"

  • Do you own a motorcycle?
  • Do you like to eat?
  • Do you want to have more fun and conversations with riders who have the same interests?
  • Do you enjoy traveling and seeing scenic byways?
  • Are you looking for unusual rides that are off the main highways and interstates?
  • Would you like to become a more experienced, skilled rider?

    WELCOME TO GWRRA

GoldWing Road Riders Association (GWRRA), Missouri Chapter I - we're all about Fun, Safety and Knowledge and a whole lot more. We welcome all riders and while we predominately ride Honda Goldwings, our philosophy is "It's not what you ride, but that you ride!" Further, it's where you go, the people you meet and the memories you make that make it all worthwhile.

We'll throw in another cliche here, "A picture is worth a thousand words". We have so many pictures on our site so that you can see the rides we've taken, the places we've visited, and the friendship just waiting for you to join in. Each rider in our group is dedicated to making your ride experience and GWRRA membership and participation worthwhile.

    GATHERINGS

One word sums it up - Participate!

We get together the 1st Thursday of the month at Delmonico's Restaurant, 2951 Old Orchard Rd.,Jackson, Missouri. They have a full buffet inclusive of salad bar and dessert bar with soft serve ice cream too! Or you can order sandwiches, steaks and burgers, etc. off their menu - all for a very reasonable price. We eat from 6 pm to 7 pm and we take care of chapter business, rider education updates, review rides taken by participants, 50/25/15/15 drawing, door prize drawings, and whatever else happens to happen. With this group, you just never know.

    The new and improved Delmonico's

Afterwards, we all visit or go out to the parking lot, kick tires while admiring each others bikes and safety chrome and tell stories before heading home!

Take a look at our calendar in the sidebar to the left, and you will see that there is a MAP link to show you how to find our gathering place if you want to check us out.

    EVENTS/RIDES

While you are looking at the calendar, be sure and look at the dinner rides we have planned as well as the weekend rides that are in the works. All dinner rides/ride event that haa ** next to it is and indication that you should meet up with everyone at the Jackson Walmart parking lot and we all ride together. That would usually be anything that is not located in Jackson or Cape Girardeau and all weekend or impromptu rides.

Don't forget to read our award winning, Chapter I Newsletter by clicking on the link in the upper left corner of the homepage. It will keep you abreast of what we've done and what we have planned for the future with interesting and informative articles by the chapter team and participants.

We look forward to getting to know you. You can believe us when we say "With us, no rider is a stranger!"

Things my Motorcycle has Taught Me . . .

  • The only good view of a thunderstorm is in your rear view mirror.
  • Four wheels move the body; two wheels move the soul.
  • Life may begin at 30, but it doesn't get real interesting until about 75 mph.
  • Midnight bugs taste just as bad as Noon time bugs.
  • Sometimes it takes a whole tank full of gas before you can think straight.
  • A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.
  • Young riders pick a destination and go; old riders pick a direction and go.
  • When you're riding lead, don't spit.
  • Catching a yellow jacket in your shirt at 75 mph can double your vocabulary.
  • If you can't get it going with bungee cords and duct tape, it's serious.
  • Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.
