A-Z Poker Run was once again held at Babler State Park, near St. Louis. Good food, great friends, terrific riding. Some days, it does pay to get out of bed as the pictures Sherry took prove!

The 2009 Chapter I Fun Run held at N. Cape County Park had a Hawaiian Luau theme this year. The usually colorful group of attendees were even more so this year as Riders donned their Hawaiian best and decorated their bikes in support of the Chapter fundraiser! Thank you to everyone who attended, donated to, supported and helped with this annual Chapter event.

CHAPTER I CHRISTMAS PARTY IN JANUARY - To avoid adding to the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season, and to give us something to look forward to in January, not to mention, allow us to take advantage of post Christmas sales - our chapter has their Christmas party each year in January! This year, Paula and Dennis Wyckoff took up the challenge of planning the night for us, and they did a great job and we have pictures to prove it below!
ANNUAL CHRISTMAS BOX GATHERING - Each year our chapter fills food, fresh fruits and staples boxes for 12 area families that have fallen on hard times, but normally don't qualify for the usual community assistance programs. In the past, it's been a couple of families who had fires in their home just before Christmas, another who was suffering the final stages of cancer, and yet another who was finding it hard to make ends meet after her husband had died - she was responsible for the well being of her daughter and granddaughter that year too! The boxes are filled to overflowing, but they are never filled as much as our hearts are after we gather to put them together. ************************************************** SWEET POTATO RALLY, OCILLA, GA - The annual ride to Ocilla, Georgia for the Sweet Potato Rally was attended by Roger & Marlene, Johnnie & Kathie and Dennis & Donna. When we got there, we were joined by Brenda & Ray (Surprise, Surprise!) and Carl & Pam. Our usual assortment of WOTI comrades were there too - Wiliferd & Charlotte, Skippy and Fearless Phil. And finally, we always look forward to seeing Bill & Esther Beardsley and Bud Ayers from Poplar Bluff when they show up! Check out the pictures below.

CEMETERY RIDE - The Chapter Cemetery Ride is always a fun way to spend the day. Missouri cemeteries have loads of history buried in them (pun intended!) and it's always an interesting ride. Afterwards, everyone gathers at Bruce and Sherry's home for good hot chili and fixins'.
FALL COLORS RIDE - We had a great turn out for the annual Fall Colors Ride followed by a bonfire weiner roast at the home of Dave and Linda. Here are some pictures of the great day.

POKER FUN RUN - Here is a slideshow of our latest Poker Fun Run held in August at North County Park, Cape Girardeau, Missouri. This is an annual opportunity for different GWRRA Chapters to get together in one location and have a great time.
MEMORIAL DAY SAFETY BREAK - Each year, Chapter I hosts a Memorial Day Safety Break on MO I-55 outside of Jackson, Missouri. FREE coffee, lemonade and cookies are offered to road weary travelers in an effort to show that motorcyclists contribute back and share the highways with other motorists.
