Hillsboro Mothers’ Club Meeting Minutes September 9, 2010 1. Meeting called to order 9:00 AM. 2. Officers present: Valerie Moreland – President, Eva Chist – Vice-President,
Cindy Maynard – Secretary & Pearl Lanz – Treasurer.
3. Members present: Christen O’Barr, Rebekah Bonner, Adrian Matlock, Mellissa Spillman, Holly Stinson, Sherri Moore, Kristy Stephens, Cheri Meadon & Debbie Naggi.
4. Minutes from May 2010 meeting were read. Pearl Lanz made motion to accept minutes, Christen O’Barr seconded motion; motion passed.
5. Treasurer’s report from May 2010 given. Debbie Naggi made motion to accept report, Holly Stinson seconded motion; motion passed.
6. Thank you notes read. Birthdays & attendance prizes were recognized.

Business: 1. Messenger Articles – Cindy Maynard will be contact person for writing Mothers’ Club Messenger articles this school year.
2. Elementary Book Fair – Mrs Gillam, librarian, will be chairperson for book fair. Mothers’ Club asked to provide volunteers to help with book fair. Book Fair will be September 20 – 24 with spaghetti dinner Sept 23.
3. Intermediate Book Fair – Valerie Moreland will be chairperson for book fair. Mothers’ Club will provide volunteers to help with book fair. Due to building construction, book fair will have limited hours September 27 – October 1.
4. Fall Fundraiser – Eva Christ is chairperson for fundraiser. Fundraiser is underway and going ok. Pick up dates will be October 19-22 at the Learning Center. Volunteers needed to help with pick up.
5. Bus Driver Appreciation Breakfast – Christen O’Barr is chairperson. Breakfast will be October 5 at 8:30 AM at the Bus Driver garage. Please sign up to help bring food.
6. Officer Garth requested $523.95 to purchased “drunk goggles” for DARE program. Rebekah Bonner made motion to donate $523.95 to purchase “drunk goggles”; Cindy Maynard seconded motion; motion passed.
7. Primary Star Program was discussed. Pearl Lanz made motion to table until request for funding received; Rebekah Bonner seconded motion; motion passed.
8. At Risk Shoe program discussed. Rebekah Bonner made motion to ear mark $120 until request received for funding; Debbie Naggi seconded motion; motion passed.
10. Mr. Gillam requested $300 to purchase anchors to be used for the Elementary School climbing wall. Rebekah Bonner made motion to donate $300 to purchase anchors; Sherri Moore seconded motion; motion passed.
Meeting was adjourned at 10:45 Am. Next meeting will be October 14 at 9:00 AM. Location to be announced later.
