"For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me." Matthew 25:35-36 (NLT)

A Memorial Tribute

Consider giving a gift to this ministry in the name of a departed friend or loved one. This lasting memorial gift of remembrance will be acknowledge in the next Loaves and Fishes newsletter only if requested by Donor.

Honor a client or family member by giving a gift in their name. All gifts likewise will be listed in the next issue of Loaves and Fishes.

Also, consider including Jefferson County Rescue Mission, Inc. in your will. Gifts of property, stocks, bonds or a vehicle may also be given. All donations are tax-deductible.

Be assured that whatever you choose to give, it will be used to assist needy and hurting people, and to help carry on the work of the Mission.

Should you need the advice of a certified public accountant or financial investment advisor, please contact us.

Share Your Party Leftovers!

We will take any leftovers from your party, wedding, funeral or other social gatherings. We always need prepared food at our homeless men's shelter.

Needed Christmas Gifts

For Teen Girls & Women - costume jewelry, cologne, body wash, bubble bath, bath powder, fancy soaps, nail care products, hair accessories, glove and hat sets, inexpensive watches, and table games.

Small coupon books for places like McDonald's, etc.

For Teen Boys - tube socks, gloves, sock caps, after-shave, cologne, wallets, games, inexpensive watches.

For Men - men's tube shocks, cologne, coffee mugs, gloves, key rings, watches, billfolds, flash lights.

We always run short of gifts for girls & boys ages 6-14.

Please don't wrap the gifts. We need to know what they are so we can sort them out for the Christmas baskets.

Thanksgiving Dinners

Thanksgiving Dinners will again be delivered to our homebound friends on Thanksgiving Day.

Dinner will be served at our Mission building on Thanksgiving Day.

On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day one of our male team members will be on duty at our Men's Encouragement Center here at the Mission from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

Case-of-the-Month Club

Would you consider giving a case of food per month to the Jefferson County Rescue Mission? Would your church, Sunday School class, business, office, bowling league or other organization?

It would cost so little and help so much.

The Mission desperately needs canned foods of all kinds:

  • canned vegetables
  • pork and beans
  • canned pasta including ravioli
  • Spam
  • dried beans
  • rise
  • noodles
  • stews
  • dumplings
  • canned meats
  • packaged meals
  • peanut butter
  • jellies

Attention Hunters!

The Mission would like you to remember the needy with your bounty of wild game and deer meat, which has been processed and packaged.

The Mission is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, so all donations are tax deductible. Please help us to help the needy.
For information, call Louise at (636) 475-3030.

To give online, please click on the button below. Your donation is safe and secure.
