Kansas City Project Linus will hold a Blankets 4 Autism blanket day on June 13, 2009, 9am to 1pm. It will be 13720 Roe Ave, Leawood KS 66224, in the East building, suite 300.
During this event we will be making weighted blankets for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Things to bring, sewing machine if you have one, basic sewing supplies, iron, ironing pads, everyone should bring 1 1/4 yards of child friendly fabric. Remember that Autism effects 4 boys to every 1 girl!!!
This will be the first event for our new chapter and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone and teaching you about making these blankets. They are very simple to make and it will be great fun.
