Fear the Lord...
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
Proverbs 30:31

Living Insight... You will discover in life, if you haven't already, that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him (see Romans 8:28). This searing pain, this blinding loss...by and by God begins to unveil a new plan you never would have imagined. And you will look back and say, "God was so faithful."

2009 SECRET SISTER IS GOING STRONG!

At the close of the Chocolate Boutique, Secret Sisters were revealed to each other and hugs were shared by all. Take a moment to click on the link in the left column of this page to see a picture slideshow of the Evening in Paris Chocolate Boutique.

Remember, there's on thing you can do anytime, anywhere and that's pray for sister in Christ, thereby adding God's guidance, blessings and comfort to her week or month - then send her a note reminding her that you think of her often!

Here are a couple of ideas for gift giving that you can make at home!

BEAUTY SALTS & SCRUBS -

The sharp contract of cold winds and freezing temperatures will make anyone happy to take a few extra moments to pamper their skin and have that spring fresh air glow about them. Help them along with these two beauty aids. Here are two easy to make gifts for your Secret Sister – and you’ll have some of the ingredients in your kitchen with a just a few things to buy!

PEACHES & CREAM BATH SALTS
  • 1 Cup Epsom salts
  • 1 Cup Sea Salt
  • 5 drops of Peach essential oil
  • equal drops of red/yellow food color to get light orange color
  • 8 oz. Container with lid

Place the salts in a large bowl and mix well. Add essential oil and mix well. Add additional scent if you want it to smell stronger. Remove ½ of mixture to another bowl. Add equal drops of food color to turn remaining mixture in one bowl a light orange color (mixture should look Dreamsicle Orange in color).

Layer orange mixture with white mixture in 8 oz. container until full. If you tilt the container while layering, you will get a diagonal effect that is very attractive.

TO USE: Draw a warm bath and add ¼ of the salts to the running water. Hop in and relax, inhaling deeply to experience the soothing qualities of aromatherapy.

What a Christmas gift, right? You can make the above bath salts, Candy Cane Bath Salts, and other “gifts in a jar” in bulk by visiting this website for directions. Twelve jars of salts can be made for about $1.50 cents! ( http://organizedchristmas.com/index-gifts-in-a-jar )

    SUGAR SCRUB

  • 10 T. white sugar
  • 5 T. brown sugar
  • 8 T. olive oil
  • 2 T. golden Jojoba oil
  • 1 T. liquid glycerin
  • 1 T. essential oil (your choice of scent)
  • 8 oz. Container with lid

Add all of your dry ingredients and blend them well making sure you remove any clumps. Next add your olive oil, jojoba oil, and glycerin. Stir until you have a consistent blend of oil to sugar. Last, add in your essential oil and blend. Add additional oil if you want a stronger scent. Pour into container.

TO USE: Scoop out a tablespoon or two with your fingers and exfoliate hands, feet, elbows and rough spots, massaging into skin with gentle circular motions. Rinse with warm water.

    Sincerely, A Secret Sister
