"Being a member of Toastmasters has kept my speaking skills at a high level. I have met some outstanding individuals (many of whom I have known since I joined.)"
Harriet Leff, CL, ATM-G

"I joined to improve my self-confidence and overcome stage fright. I stay because of the wonderful people and to improve my skills, both in communication and leadership."
Stephanie Weiss, DTM Adobe PDF file

"Building self-esteem by setting and achieving communication and leadership goals in a friendly, supportive environment. Toastmasters has provided a strong foundation enabling me to succeed both professionally and personally."
Dan Darnall, DTM

"I have met many friends in our club and other clubs all over the world. I even had a Toastmaster guest stay with me from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia visiting St. Louis for "the TM Int'l Convention. I enjoy learning and improving my speaking and leadership skills with friendly people."
Diana Ross, CL, ATM-B

"I want to know how I didn't know about Toastmasters sooner....SOMEbody SLAP me!"
Sally Siebe, ATM-B, AL Adobe PDF file

"After giving my 10th speech, I was asked to repeat the speech to my work team. At first I felt unprepared to give a speech outside of the Toastmaster's group. Little did I know how prepared I was. I knew that I needed a lectern, and to set the lectern and seating so that no one was behind me. The room set up was a concern that I wouldn't have thought of, if I hadn't joined. I knew to make sure the facilitator had an introduction, the title of my speech, and how long I would be speaking. (I missed having those lights to help me out.) Toastmasters has given me the confidence I needed to speak to a variety of audiences and to prepare the speech based on the audience. I'll never regret my decision to be a part of this wonderful group."
