Welcome to Project Linus
Project Linus is an organization with a two-fold mission.
First, it is our mission to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer “blanketeers”.
Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
I am excited that you would like to help out by making a blanket. I hope I can answer a few common questions that you might have. First, the blanket must be handmade (not store bought), never used before and washable. The blankets can very from size. They can be as small as a crib size, and as large as you would like to make them. Please avoid using material made from wool due to possible allergic reactions.
