What do we do with the money? Your tax deductible gift goes into the Parks Development Foundation earmarked for the Red House Interpretive Center. This is a general fund maintained to provide funding for improvements to city parks. The funds raised by the Friends of the Red House are reserved for use on the Red House Interpretive Center only.

How is the money to be used? The RH Board never wants The Red House Interpretive Center to become a financial burden upon the City. Therefore, this special Friends of The Red House Foundation was set up with a goal of $100,000. Once this goal is achieved, the interest from the money will be used for major repairs on the Red House as needed, special events, interpretive materials, educational materials, and activities at the Red House.

Who can disburse the money? The money can only be disbursed by the City of Cape Girardeau Parks and Recreation Department's Parks Development Foundation upon the request of the Red House Interpretive Center Board.

Who can receive money? Checks should be written out to "Parks Development Foundation" with a note in the "Memo" section of the check "for the Red House."
