Family Planning Program Family
Planning provides services to any woman seeking quality health care
services. Nurse practitioners, volunteer Doctors and a qualified staff
provide health care services to women of child bearing years. Services
available include routine health and physical exams, information counseling,
contraceptive supplies, pregnancy testing, sexually transmitted disease
testing, infertility counseling and health and community education. All
services are confidential with a client’s voluntary and informed consent and

The Family Planning services include gynecologic exams, birth control services and education, cancer screenings, Pap smears and breast exams, pregnancy testing, counseling and referrals, prenatal education, urinary tract diagnosis and treatment, HIV testing, counseling and referrals, sexually-transmitted infection testing and treatment, information on vasectomy and tubal ligation, and cholesterol, diabetes and hypertension screenings. These services are provided at seven sites.
The goal of the program is to reduce unintended pregnancies and sexually transmitted diseases. The cost to clients is based on a sliding scale. Medicaid accepted.
