Welcome to the Home Site of Home School Sports
in Saint Louis!
We are pleased to welcome you to the new combined site for Christian Home School Sports of Greater St. Louis! (CHSSGSL) We help organize, schedule, recruit, promote and coach team sports including basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball and tennis for Christian home school athletes and graduates ages 12-20+ and their families living in the metro St. Louis area and surrounding counties in Missouri and Illinois.
From starting the first home school basketball team in St. Louis (the Tigers) in 1999, we have helped start, schedule and/or grow additional teams, including the St. Louis Blue Knights basketball team, St. Louis Patriots JH/JV basketball team, O'Fallon/St. Louis Patriots varsity baseball team, the West County Christian Home Educators men's softball and volleyball teams, the home school boy's Hoops Nights League , and the Patriettes girl's volleyball, basketball and soccer teams.
Most of our 'home' games are held at gyms and fields in St. Louis County, and St. Charles County. We generally try to form Junior High and/or JV teams along with our varsity teams, so entire families can come to one location together for practices and games for their home schooled children of various ages and abilities.
Cooperating Teams in CHSSGSL are each independently organized, but agree to some standards: honor God and not let their desire to be competitive cause them to be mean-spirited to each other, to players, to parents, or to officials. In other words, treat others like they like to be treated. Our coaches are Christians committed to home schooling. Our teams work together to schedule games and share facilities.
We are always interested working with others to better serve homeschool families throughout the greater St. Louis area. We continue to support home schooling parents willing to work to organize teams, so every home school player gets playing time at whatever level they are capable of playing! We are always open to additional coach-volunteers. Please contact us if you or your spouse would like to coach or help organize a team for any sport, and if you need (or know of any) gyms or fields that are available for home school players for practices or games.
Due to graduations, moves, and program growth, most of the teams we support have openings for home school athletes! If your son or daughter has a saving faith in Jesus Christ, has a good attitude, is willing to promote team unity (including applicable team dress and hair length codes), has been previously home schooled and would like to play unselfish team-oriented sports at a competitive level please contact us and let us know what sport(s) are of interest!
We are also forming all-home-school-leagues, skills camps and events for basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis and other sports. Please check out our events calendar or contact us for games and items of interest to area home school families. Also, feel free to contact us by email if you have any questions or comments!
Our teams also compete with organized Christian, private and/or home school teams (and occasional public school teams) from the metro St. Louis and Midwest areas.
