2006-2007 SEASON SUMMARY

Congratulations to the St. Louis Patriot Varsity Boys basketball team who placed 3rd out of sixteen teams at the Midwest Regional Homeschool Basketball Tournament. This tournament involved teams from 5 states and took place in Lebanon Missouri March 1st through the 3rd. The team's previous best finish was 5th place in 2006. What a great way to cap their 5th season in 2007! They set a number of records this year: Varsity season highlights:
1. Best overall record: 20-7
2. Best finish at state/midwest tournament: 3rd out of 16 teams
3. Best finish at the Life Christian Midwest Extravaganza Tourney: 3rd out of 16 teams
4. Best finish at Gateway Invitational Tournament: 2nd place
5. Best homeschool team in the state of Missouri

Junior High season highlights:
1. 19-3 record
2. First place in 33rd annual Word of Life Lutheran School Tournament
3. Division champion in West County Assembly of God league.
4. 2nd place in West County Assembly of God league

Junior Varsity record: 10-8
The Patriot program is an independent basketball organization (the first in St. Louis) that provides opportunities for boys to play competitively in a home school friendly environment, honoring Christ in all we do. We offer three teams: jr high, jr varsity, and varsity boys.

Current and graduating PATRIOT players squared off against their dads and PATRIOT Alumni in the annual PATRIOT father and son game on April 21st. The game ended in a 104-104 tie after several overtimes. Fun was had by all!

2007 Father~Son Game
The Junior High Patriot squad won the West County Assembly of God division championship on Monday, March 19th. On Monday, March 26th they lost in a nail biter against the West County Assembly of God team by three points to take 2nd place in the league.

WCAG Junior High Division Champs and 2nd Place in the League
The Varsity PATRIOTS Squad competed in the First Annual Gateway Regional Homeschool Basketball Tournament held in Lebanon, MO on March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
The tournament played host to 65 Junior High, Junior Varsity, and Varsity boys and girls teams from Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Illinois, and Nebraska. Sixteen varsity boys teams competed in two divisions.
The PATRIOTS played in the top division and won their first round game against the SW Missouri Eagles, lost their second round game against the Oklahoma Storm (the eventual tournament winners) and won their final game in a thrilling over-time victory against the Kansas City East Lions to take 3rd place.
