Welcome to Union Kiwanis! Thank you for visiting the Kiwanis Club of Union, Missouri!
Who we are...
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
Kiwanis International is a service organization whose mission is "Serving the Children of the World". The organization was founded in 1915 in Detroit, Michigan and is now based in Indianapolis, Indiana. Its original purpose was to exchange business between members and to serve the poor. This debate was resolved in 1919 when the organization adopted a service mission. The organization was for men-only until 1987.
Kiwanis Club of Union, Missouri, was founded on March 27, 1979. The club currently has 42 members.
This site is designed to provide information and resources to our members and other people of the community who are interested in learning more about Kiwanis. If you do not find answers to your questions at this site, please contact us by using the form at the bottom of this page.

FACTS ABOUT KIWANIS
The Motto:
The Motto:
"Serving the Children of the World."
(This motto was changed in June, 2005 at the International Convention in Honolulu.)
The Purpose:
Service to Youth, to Community and Nation.
The Name:
The name "Kiwanis" stems from an Indian phrase which, roughly translated means "to express one's self".
